Buying or leasing a property

If you are planning to buy or lease a property or plot of land, you should perform a Local Land Search to find out important information about your property before you make any commitments to the property.

The Local Land Search will tell you if it is your responsibility for maintaining the property's footpaths or whether there are any restrictions, preservation orders or if current planning applications that will affect the property. It can also tell you if the property has been improved as a result of a local authority grant, which would affect your reselling or renting out of the property.
