Our work in Area South

We are based at Petters House in Yeovil, where we provide information, advice and support to around 30,000 residents a year. We work with individuals and groups on a wide range of community based projects, both large and small scale, from the provision of community facilities such as Milford Hall to support for community associations. We also provide small grants for community groups. We manage Yeovil Town Centre and run the markets in the town. We support the Yeovil Vision and are involved in a number of regeneration projects in Area South including the development of the Glove Factory and the refurbishment of Princes Street.

About Area Development - South

We support the Area South Committee to help local communities become better places to live and work. We provide help and assistance on a wide range of community projects and local issues. The Area Development team can also advise on funding and support from SSDC to local projects.

Adverse Weather

In 2011, the Yeovil Town Centre Partnership purchased a supply of snow shovels to be issued to businesses who agreed to take an active part in responding to a severe weather event.
