South Somerset Disability Forum

There are approximately 6700 people with disabilities in Area South and the South Somerset Disability Forum aim to raise awareness of accessibility in the public and private sectors and reduce the isolations experienced by many disabled people.

South Somerset District Council awarded a grant of £2,925 at their Area South Committee on 2nd March 2011 to the South Somerset Disability Forum for the creation of a new website.

The project is to create a new website for SSDF.  The website will have two primary aims: to promote South Somerset Disability Forum (SSDF) its aims and objectives; and to improve the sustainability of the organisation by improving the recruitment of volunteers.  It is also planned for the website to become a community resource, where other groups can promote themselves.
