Vitalise

Vitalise offer planned breaks for disabled people, enabling carers to have guilt free rest from their caring duties and also provides inspirational volunteering opportunities.  Vitalise subsidises its care breaks to ensure they are accessible to those who really need them and subsidises its volunteers to cover travel, living, training and security check costs.

South Somerset District Council awarded a grant of £425.75 to Vitalise to go towards providing much needed and essential breaks for people with disabilities and carers in the South Somerset.

They have four fully accessible centres around the UK offering 24 hour on call nursing and care where fully trained staff are supported by teams of residential volunteers.  If would like further information please see their website www.vitalise.org.uk.
