Health and Social Inequalities
Addressing Health, Social and Economic Inequalities
in Yeovil
The Community Development Officer was part of the steering
group leading on the study of Health, Social and Economic
Inequalities in Yeovil. The study looked at these
inequalities and how partners could best begin to tackle
them. South Somerset Together, the Local Strategic
Partnership has supported the project and the Somerset Primary Care
Trust has made a significant financial contribution that ensures
the project can run until at least December 2012.
The Project Manager James Divall is based in the Area
South Development Team contactable on (01935) 462703 or via email and managed by the
Community Development Officer.
The project has already led to a number of exciting local
initiatives including the Streetfest events, Milford Community
Garden and the local communities website Yeovil-Life.
