Family Connections Programme – Yeovil Project

This initiative draws on 12 years experience accumulated by Somerset Film delivering community media activities in Somerset and takes a fun, creative and collaborative approach to families learning together with digital media.

 Family Connections Filming

Family Connections are working together with Milford Community Association and South Somerset District Council to offer families living within Yeovil the opportunity to have fun and learn together using film, photography and digital media.

Whether it's learning the basics of using a computer, or finding out how to surf, skype and blog. Making short films and building websites or learning to get more out of a mobile phone. Taking better photos of family and friends, even having a go at Wallace and Gromit style animation.

This Yeovil based family connections programme has provided hands on sessions with powerful software and equipment with skilled tutors on hand to help get the best out the experience.

Activity sessions took place within Birchfield Community School and the New Milford Community Hall providing sessions in Film making, digital Christmas cards and other fun hands on experiences.

The project also provided free day trips out for local families including day trips to Bristol's hands on experience @Bristol.
