The property improvement grant
scheme was established a number of years ago to encourage
property owners and business owners to retain
and restore existing Victorian features to the front of their
properties.
A number of properties
have been successfully improved through the grant scheme
and their frontages have much more character lifting
the overall quality of the street scene.
The final application has been received for
numbers 2-5 South Western Terrace. Drawings have been produced
showing the proposed improvements including new shop fronts,
the removal of a porch, painting and
decorationg, resurfacing the patio area's, new railings and a
disabled ramp. The work should go ahead over the next several
months subject to the relevant permissions being in
place.
The grant scheme will be concluded once work has
been completed on 2-5 South Western Terrace.
