This project is funded by the Migration Impact Fund through a
levy paid by students and workers coming from new A8 European
Countries since 2004 under the Worker Registration Scheme to the
UK.
The Community Link Worker from SSDC will provide a bridge
between SSDC and migrant communities living and working in the
South Somerset area.
The surgeries will provide advice, assistance and support, to
migrant communities on a range of issues including:
- Benefit applications
- Employment/unemployment issues
- Housing issues
- Education issues
- Neighbourhood disputes
- Community safety
