Who is eligible for B active?

- Young people aged between 8 - 19 years
- They must benefit from taking part in a leisure
activity
- They must be referred by a recognised referrer (see
list below)

What is the role of the referrer?
|
| To identify young people who might benefit from B
active, assess their needs and refer to our
Young People's Officer. |
| |

Who can be referred?
|
|
If you work with young people, individuals or groups between the
age of 8 - 19 years and feel that their emotional health would
benefit by accessing this free leisure opportunity, then they can
be referred.

How can young people be referred?
|
- Sit down with the young person and discuss their emotional
needs
- Fill in a B active Nomination Form
- Get 2 x passport photos of the young person
Then send it all off to:
Young Peoples Officer, Community Health & Leisure, SSDC,
Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil, BA20 2HT or e-mail stephen.barnes@southsomerset.gov.uk

Please also note that Scouts, Cubs, Girl Guides, Cadets are also
widely available.
