| Why are we building this play area? |

As part of the planning permission for the Bellway Homes
development on land between Eastfields and Frome Road, the
developer must provide an area of public open space, which includes
space for a play area.
|

Bellway Homes are are expected to create and landscape the
public open space in the near future. When finished they will
transfer the land to South Somerset District Council (SSDC).
Bellway Homes are also required to pay SSDC £55,000 so that we can
build the play area.

| What happens next? |

|
We are working in partnership with Bruton Town Council to
develop plans for the new play area and we hope your feedback will
inform the design.
|
| We plan to carry out more consultation and hold public displays
of the play area designs. |
