Ideas for the new look play area took shape
following consultation with local residents, children and
groups. The consultation exercise was completed in the Spring of
2011 and provided inspiration for the development of a
design brief for the site.
The project will be a partnership between Yeovil Town
Council, South Somerset District Council and Milford Community
Association. Much of the funding has already been secured and it is
hoped that the area will be complete by autumn 2012.
Construction work has now started on the aspects of the
Adventure Park that do not require planning permission.

The play area will greatly enhance the equipment that is
currently in the park and will include:
- Castle themed toddler climbing frame
- Double zip line
- Cone climber
- Log swing
- Lookout towers
- Agility trail
- Fort

Other items will include:
- Seating which will include picnic benches
- Fencing for the toddler play area
- Planting
- Upgrading pathways
- Tree planting and woodland walk sensory area
