Galley & Golf Opening Times 2012

Please see the opening times below. The last tickets for Golf are sold 45 minutes before close. The Galley is closed 30 minutes before the closing times given.

Facilities are open subject to weather and ground conditions and opening times are subject to change at short notice.

  • Athletics FUNdamentals (5 - 7 year olds)
  • Junior Athletics Coaching (8 - 11 year olds)
  • Junior Athletics Academy (12 - 14 year olds)

Startrack Athletics Camps

Aviva Startrack Athletics Camps are run in partnership with Yeovil Olympiads Athletics Club. Participants aged between 8 and 14 years old are given the opportunity to take part in a variety of track and field events, games and competitions.
Create your own adventure at the Flagship Playspace

The Big Lottery Funded play area includes: 

  • Shipwreck
  • Tree house walkways with rope bridges, net tunnels and climbing walls
  • Skull and snake themed tunnel slides
  • Aerial runway/zipline
  • Large sand pit
  • Water play
  • Use of ground contouring, boulders and plants

The Galley Refreshments Kiosk

The Galley sells a range of hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice creams.
Football and Rugby Pitches

The following pitches are available for hire.

  • 1 rugby pitch
  • 3 full size football pitches
  • 2 three quarter size football pitches
  • 2 seven a-side football pitches
  • Athletics arena is available for junior training
Tennis Courts

Two courts are available free of charge throughout the year. During the Winter (October to March) the courts can be booked for Netball. This incurs a charge and must be pre-booked.

Yeovil Recreation Centre is situated on Chilton Grove (off Mudford Road) in Yeovil, BA21 4AW. Follow the brown tourism signs when entering Yeovil.
