The current strategic planning
documents for South Somerset include the South Somerset Local Plan
and the South Somerset Local Development Framework.
The
South Somerset Local
Plan sets out the current planning policy framework for
the District up to 2011, and includes the allocations of land for
future development and the planning policies that are used to
determine planning applications.
The Local Development
Framework is a series of Local Development Documents
(LDDs) which together will deliver the spatial
planning strategy for the District. A description of each
document and its current status can be viewed at South
Somerset Local Development Framework.
