The Financial Strategy 2017/18

The Medium Term Financial Plan outlines the financial needs and requirements of the Council over the next five years. The strategy is to deliver a balanced budget over the medium term whilst keeping any tax rises broadly in line with inflation. The Council has to have regard to the level of government grant received. In 2017/18, Revenue Support Grant which is a Government grant will reduce by £0.9 million (52%). SSDC has been utilising New Homes Bonus to support service provision.
