We are looking to recruit an Assistant Arborist / Tree Surgeon to provide quality tree services to Somerset open spaces. The successful candidate will be involved in maintenance, care and support of trees, hedgerows and shrubs in South Somerset
What we’re looking for…
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven candidate to join our Arboriculture team in Environmental Services. This is a diverse role in the service and some experience in the industry is essential. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, hardworking and have a willingness to develop their skills and be part of a close team. Duties will consist of the use of a woodchipper, Chainsaw maintenance and crosscut, felling and processing of small trees, and ariel rescue operations. There is also a requirement for use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness. Training will be provided where necessary
The successful candidate will be required to hold a full driving licence, including C1+E driving licence category and be committed, take pride in the work they deliver in South Somerset, and have an attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is a great team player, is a good communicator, and is reliable and dependable. You will require a good knowledge of the industry to be a suitable candidate for this role
