You will be part of a team contributing to the delivery of a range of council services and supporting local communities to deliver projects and improvements.
You will be out in the community providing a visible presence for the council, performing tasks on behalf of Specialists from a range of council services. Your role will have a particular focus on working with community groups and Parish/Town Councils to support the delivery of a range of projects and activities.
Working as part of a cross-functional, busy team you will have a background in community development and project delivery. You will be great at coaching and building skills and relationships, and communicating complex information clearly to a variety of audiences. This will include delivering talks and presentations to community groups and committees.
You will need to deliver tangible results, working effectively under pressure, helping the One Team at SSDC to achieve its ambitions for the communities of South Somerset.
