What we’re looking for…
We are looking for two enthusiastic and highly self-motivated qualified Building Control professionals to work within the Building Control discipline of our Service Delivery Specialist Team.
You must be committed to delivering excellent customer focussed service whilst performing your main duties which will include examination of plans, site inspections, keeping accurate records, enforcement of legislation and dealing effectively with dangerous structures.
The successful candidate should be an excellent team player who is experienced, enthusiastic, and able to manage their own workload, work under pressure to deadlines and use their own initiative with minimal supervision.
You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Building Control or be qualified by strong relevant professional experience either working within a Local Authority or Approved Inspector Building Control Team. You should hold a recognised professional qualification (e.g. MRICS/MCABE/MCIOB).
You should have excellent knowledge of the relevant technical guidance and current legislation and be able to deal with complex and technically challenging commercial and residential cases.
