What we’re looking for…
We are looking for a professionally qualified and skilled officer who is competent, confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated within the Environmental Protection and Housing Standards area of our specialist team. This includes environmental permitting, statutory nuisance, planning and licence consultations, private water supplies, contaminated land and air quality as well as HMO inspections, private sector housing complaints and empty properties.
Whilst the role will be required to work across both disciplines the focus will be Environmental Protection and the successful candidate should have experience in this field of work.

You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Health or be qualified by strong relevant professional experience. Excellent communication skills are essential.
