We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Specialist to join our Support Services & Strategy team here at South Somerset District Council.  We are a Council with big ambitions for South Somerset – we work to make it a place where businesses flourish, communities are safe, vibrant and healthy and residents enjoy good housing and cultural, leisure and sporting activities.

We are looking for a professionally qualified or part qualified CCAB (e.g. CIPFA / ACCA / CIMA) who has experience working in a finance team within the public and/or private sector with a broad range of financial and accounting skills.  An individual who is familiar working with financial systems and who can contribute to the smooth and efficient running of financial processes. You will provide a professional service with high standards of advice and support, whilst ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, legislation, professional codes of practice and adherence to Council policy.
