Our selection process
How will my suitability for the role be assessed?
Our selection process is typically made up of one competency based interview. This interview will be made up of a series of technical questions applicable to the role, as well as questions exploring your attitude and approach to your work.
SSDC has an Attitude and Approaches framework (A&A framework), which indicates the behaviours we expect, dependent on the level of role, across the authority. The competency based questions will ask you to provide real examples to demonstrate how you approach different scenarios, in line with this framework.
Please familiarise yourself with the contents of our A&A framework and use it to prepare for your interview.
You will be given more information about the selection process specific to the role you are applying for when you are invited to attend.
