The Somerset-based company brings high quality theatre into the
heart of local communities, this summer with their latest
production -Rex the King- the story of a Somerset darts champion
who ruled the world, but lost it all.
On previous tours, the company has performed in some unusual
locations, from Yeovil Town Football Club to Yeovil Country Park
and on a horse and cart ride through Langport.
This season,Rex the Kingwill be performed in a number of venues
across Somerset, including pubs, arts centres and a shop, during
May and June.
District Councillor Sylvia Seal, Portfolio Holder for Leisure
& Culture, said: "I am delighted that SSDC is able to help
bring the arts into local communities in this way. Small
amounts of funding can make all the difference in enabling people
living in rural areas to enjoy high quality
