Christmas Carol service strikes all the right chords at District Council offices

Fairmead School choir from Yeovil brought Christmas spirit and cheer to South Somerset District Council's Brympton Way offices when they entertained staff and visitors on Wednesday 14 December.

The school's choir sang a variety of Christmas songs for 45 minutes and were joined by staff from the District Council and County Council who listened to them during their performance.

Alison Taylor, Assistant Head Teacher at Fairmead School said, "It's a pleasure to bring back the children to the District Council offices for the third year running. Our choir ranges across a variety of ages and all the children sang with enthusiasm and energy - we are really proud of them. We must thank the District Council and County Council staff who joined the children during their performance. It was fantastic to have an audience that also participated in singing the songs."

Councillor Ric Pallister, Leader of South Somerset District Council, added, "This was another outstanding performance by some very special young people who put their hearts and souls into entertaining both District Council and County Council staff. To see so many Fairmead youngsters giving a 120% effort alongside their team of dedicated staff was quite moving for us and made a wonderful start to the Christmas festivities here at Brympton Way."
