One-stop shop for Tourism leaflets

A tourism trade "swap shop", run by South Somerset District Council (SSDC), is coming up fast at the Haynes International Motor Museum on Tuesday 28 March.

The event - managed and promoted by SSDC in support of the valuable local tourism industry - gives hospitality and accommodation businesses an ideal opportunity to pick up the latest leaflets and offers to pass on to customers, to make sure they get the best out of their visit to the area in 2017.

Over 50 visitor attractions and services will be gathered together at Haynes, making a great one-stop shop to pick up leaflet supplies and talk direct to the attractions about their latest facilities, prices and offers.

The event will take place between 10.00am and 12.30pm and Haynes International Motor Museum has also generously extended an invitation to tourism businesses attending the Literature Exchange, to enjoy a visit to the museum free of charge.  This invitation is valid on the day - 28th March only.

If you are a pub, café, accommodation or tourist information provider, visit the Literature Exchange - which has free entry - to:

  • Pick up leaflets for 2017 to display at your premises;
  • Network with colleagues working in the tourism industry;
  • Meet the team from South Somerset District Council, including our Business Support Officer.

Councillor Clare Aparicio Paul, Portfolio Holder for Tourism at South Somerset District Council said, "The Literature Exchange encapsulates all that is great about the Somerset tourism trade and how businesses work together to make sure customers get the best they can from their time in the county.  Products being shown off at the Exchange include cycle routes on the Somerset Levels and new interactive history events in the South West."
