Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum…come along to Ninesprings for some Fairy Tale Fun

Once upon a time in a faraway land named Ninesprings, the Countryside Pixies and their Fairy Tale friends were organising a truly magical event that falls once every year.

The self-led Fairy Tale Trail is active from 11am Tuesday 30 May to 2pm Friday 2 June. To complete the trail you will need to pick up a trail sheet for £1 from Ninesprings Café.

Cafe opening hours are from 8am to 6pm. Start the trail outside the café and follow the bread crumb arrows to trace the same steps that Hansel and Gretel have taken through the woods. The trail will take approximately 1 hour to complete and is suitable for adventurous pushchairs as there are sets of steps on route.

There are a selection of activity points along the way and letters to discover so you can complete the missing word. Who will you meet along the way?

Money raised from the Fairy Tale Trail will be channelled into future events and projects within Yeovil Country Park.

You will need to remember to bring a pencil or pen with you to be able to fill in the missing letters that you find along the way on the trail sheet. If you would like to support the Friends of Yeovil Country Park, pencils are available from the café for a minimum donation of 20p per pencil.

The annual Yeovil Country Park Craft Fayre is also being held on Wednesday 31 May. Local craft makers will be selling handmade items between 10am and 3pm. Stalls will be located opposite the Ninesprings Café, next to the cycleway.

Countryside Ranger, Kristy Davies said, "Ninesprings is an enchanting setting for the Fairy Tale Trail and all of the hand crafted Fairy Tale characters. It will truly captivate the imaginations of children of all ages."

Delicious hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, Paninis and cakes are all available from Ninesprings Café. Don't forget that the cafe is open from 9am to 4.30pm on Bank holiday Monday instead of the usual opening hours.
