Coronavirus related business support

South Somerset District Council Business Growth Grant

This scheme is currently paused and is not accepting any new applications.

The Business Growth Grant is being made available by South Somerset District Council as part of the support that has been provided to the Council in the form of the Covid-19 Additional Restrictions Grant.

The grant scheme is designed to support businesses within South Somerset who are seeking to grow and innovate. The scheme will assist with the costs required to do so and recognises that Covid-19 has prevented business growth that would have otherwise taken place.

Grants of up to £15,000 are available. The fund is available for businesses that support five or more employees, have a business rated premise within South Somerset and have been trading for at least two years.

The scheme is intended to support innovation and growth within South Somerset and businesses will need to demonstrate that they will meet at least two of the following outcomes:

  • The local area will be a better place to live, work and visit
