Chard – Regeneration and Beyond: Invite to local businesses to get involved in the regeneration of Chard
Do you want to be part of an exciting networking group looking at how local businesses can be at the heart of the initiative to regenerate Chard?
The event, supported by South Somerset District Council, Chard Town Council, Yeovil Chamber of Trade & Commerce and Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants, will give an update on the project and look at how local businesses can be involved going forward.
The breakfast networking session takes place on Wednesday 26 September from 7.30am until 9.30am at Cricket St Thomas Golf Club near Chard.
Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite via the following link: Eventbrite.
Councillor Jo Roundell Greene, Portfolio Holder for Economy and Deputy Leader of South Somerset District Council said, "This is a great opportunity for businesses to get involved in the Chard Regeneration scheme as it moves forward and to have an input into the future regeneration of Chard town centre.
"Over 170 local businesses in Chard have been invited by Albert Goodman to the breakfast networking event so we are really hoping that there is a good number of people interested in attending."
The Chard Regeneration Scheme focuses on regenerating the Boden Mill site in the centre of the town, and proposed components could include a new leisure centre and swimming pool, alongside a blend of housing and commercial developments. In addition to this, the scheme proposes a number of other measures to boost business in the town, support events and revitalise the market.
