Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Pest Control service stood down in accordance with Government Covid-19 advice

| District

We have currently stood down our Pest Control service in accordance with Government Covid-19 advice and will only be responding to emergencies where there is a significant risk to public health.

Emergencies will include:
Rats in the living area of a house (not the attic).
Flea treatment requests where someone is unable to return home following hospitalization due to a flea infestation.
Wasps breaking out from nests in large numbers into living areas of properties (not expected until late July as wasp numbers are currently very low.)

General advice for rats: Remove all food sources from the garden such as bird feeders and food waste in compost heaps. Rodenticide rat bait can be purchased from hardware stores but must be placed carefully following instructions on the product label to prevent other animals from eating it. Dead rats can be double bagged and placed in the black bin bag waste.

General advice for mice: Rodenticide mouse bait or mouse traps can be purchased from hardware stores but must be placed carefully following instructions on the product label to prevent other animals from eating it. Mousetraps can also be used.

Other pest advice is available on our website here: socsi.in/QvzyO
