Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Facilities partially reopen at Yeovil Recreation Centre including mini golf and mini tennis

Following Government guidance, we are now able to partially reopen some of our facilities at Yeovil Recreation Centre.

From this week, residents adhering to social distancing guidelines will be able to enjoy mini tennis, table tennis, pitch and putt and mini golf.

We have introduced a number of measures for your safety.

All activities will need to be booked by sending an email to leisurebookings@southsomerset.gov.uk or by phone on 01935 462616. The facilities for the activities mentioned will be open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Sunday. Demand has already been high so please be patient.

Contactless payments will be taken on the day on arrival and no cash payments will be permitted.

Families from the same household can participate or, currently, five individuals from separate households due to space limitations where safe social distancing can take place.

All activity slots will be limited to 60 minutes. Customers will be escorted to the activity site from the pavilion and our staff will adhere to social distancing rules.

No food or drink will be allowed on site and facilities in the JOD Pavilion will be closed to the public. Food and drink will be available from the Galley.

Mini Golf/Pitch & Putt: All equipment will be cleaned and wiped before and after usage. Club and balls will need to be returned to the bucket provided and must not be handed to other customers or staff. Each party will get one round to play all nine holes. Bookings will be kept 20 minutes apart and only two parties will be allowed on the course at any one time. Each party gets a maximum of two allocated slots per week. Parties are asked to bring their own pencils for scoring.

Mini tennis: Customer musts bring their own equipment. Tables and nets will be sanitised between bookings.

Tennis Courts: Customers must bring their own equipment. Court gates and nets will be sanitised after every use. There is a maximum of three booking per week per party.
