Kickstart employment opportunities with South Somerset District Council

South Somerset District Council are supporting the Government’s Kickstart Scheme, which has a goal of helping young people get back into paid employment. The Kickstart Scheme is a 6 month paid job with a local employer.

Jobs from the Kickstart Scheme are open to 16-24 year olds, who are claiming Universal Credit, and are at risk of long term unemployment.

Over the coming months, South Somerset District Council will have up to 30 jobs available, in a variety of roles across it’s organisation. 

The first advertisements are planned to be released in May at local Jobcentre Plus offices, which will include: Bridgwater, Frome, Taunton, Yeovil & Wells.

To apply for any roles, any potential applicants must discuss the employment opportunity with their Jobcentre Plus work coach.  We are unable to receive any Curriculum Vitae’s (CV’s) or expression of interests directly.
