The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Draft Charging Schedule and supporting documents were submitted to the Examiner on 27th May 2016.  The Examiner is Mike Fox BA (Hons), Dip TP, MRTPI.  The Examiner will consider whether the CIL Draft Charging Schedule meets the requirements of the Planning Act 2008 and the CIL Regulations 2010 (as amended) in respect of legal compliance and viability.

The Examiner has prepared a Guidance Note for the Examination: SSDC CIL Hearing 9-10 August 2016 Guidance Note  This confirms that the Examination Hearings have been initially timetabled for two days, starting at 10am on the 9th and 10th August 2016. The Hearings will take place in the Council Offices, Brympton Way, Yeovil. Please find an agenda for the day here.

The Examiner has also prepared a Key Issues Discussion Paper: SSDC CIL - Key Matters June 2016  As explained in the Guidance Note, those participating in the Hearing sessions can prepare a statement of their position that addresses the questions set out in the Examiner's Key Issues Discussion Paper.  These statements should be submitted electronically to the Programme Officer at Anna-Maria.Lenz@SouthSomerset.Gov.Uk The closing date for these statements is Friday 15 July (midnight).
