Queen Camel Parish Neighbourhood Area Application

South Somerset District Council has received an application for the designation of a neighbourhood area for the Parish of Queen Camel. The application shows the area in which the parish intends to use the new neighbourhood planning powers arising from the Localism Act and the supporting Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.

There was a 7 week period of public consultation from Friday 7th September to Friday 26th October 2012. No responses were received.

The designation of a neighbourhood area is the first formal stage in preparing a neighbourhood plan (see the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012).

Parish and Town Councils are able to continue work on their neighbourhood plan while the proposed geography of the neighbourhood area is being determined.
